A note on leaving your comfort zone.
Best-selling author Ryan Holiday recently shared the book he read that sparked his journey to leave his cushy yet soul-crushing marketing job to become a writer.
His message is a cautionary tale of staying too long in the easy but unfulfilling path, all the while knowing you are selling yourself out.
You might be able to justify it for some time.
Telling yourself the money is good, it is the safe path, it is too hard to try something new, etc.
But ultimately your heart knows staying where you are is not the right choice.
This battle represents the internal friction we feel when faced with staying in our comfort zone or leaving it to do something more aligned with who we want to be.
Please know that the path to leave your comfort zone is not easy or linear.
It is full of starts and stops, two steps forward and one step back, excitement and fear, satisfaction and self doubt, courage and consistency.
But ultimately it is a worthy journey to pursue what calls you.
Happy New Year to all of you putting in the work to leave your comfort zone.
